Positive Applications believes in providing individuals guiding principles and tools to necessitate change and growth.

Our programmes are focused on awakening change and growth in the classroom in a journey of learning and discovery. We use learning and human development research to create an effective training design that makes learning fun, meaningful and long-lasting. We respect the different learning and information processing styles of individuals and incorporate different approaches to best match and stretch the learners. Through a safe, conducive learning environment, learners are given the joy of making their own discoveries.

The classroom is the beginning of the journey as we believe that change comes through time and application of knowledge. As such, learners are engaged to think of practical applications, implementations of new information and the ways to sustain their own growth. The perpetuation of learning and development of the individual continues outside the classroom through positive steps the learner has identified.

Our corporate training and consultancy falls into 3 distinct areas:

Developing Our Children

A whole person begins with a wholesome child who would flourish into an emotionally, physically, spiritually and intellectually healthy adult. Schools, which are the heart of building and guiding the future leaders of our nation, typically focus on intellectual and physical development, while neglecting emotional and spiritual health. As part of our contribution to society, Positive Applications conduct children’s camp that develops their character. The programme fosters a positive view of oneself, builds esteem and confidence. It equips the young learners with problem-solving, conflict resolution and decision making skills.

Positive Applications also works with not-for-profit children’s organizations to enable them to run effectively and nurture the whole child to be whole adult.

Positive Applications is the result of Yen’s passion in seeing character growth and transformation. Yen graduated from the University Of Melbourne, Australia, where she pursued Psychology, Criminology and Anthropology. Her interest in lifelong learning also led to a Master of Educational Psychology from University of Malaya and a practitioner’s certification in Neuro Linguistic Programming.

Yen’s involvement in the field of learning and development spans across young children to adult learners. She believes that when the whole child is nourished, it grows into a whole adult. A firm believer in early intervention, Yen is sought after for her advice in handling the challenges that today’s educators, social-service providers and care-givers face.

Yen distributes her time equally to working with children and with adults in the corporate world, as she believes training is one of the keys to transforming organizations and societies. Her insight into the dynamics and challenges of organizational development comes from 15 years of experience in the education, media, finance and F&B industries. Her natural perceptive skills combined with her academic training make her an effective learning specialist. She is currently based in Kuala Lumpur and conducts training in Malaysia, China, Indonesia and Singapore.
